Promotor Director Dr. Mahwash A. Khan is a Community Ophthalmologist with a Master’s in Community Eye Care from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. She leads and co-founded Ophth Pharma, Pakistan’s first ophthalmic-focused pharmaceutical company. Her greatest satisfaction lies in restoring vision and bringing smiles to patients’ faces.

Dr. Anjum Naveed, MBBS, MCPS, DLO, FRCS (Ed) is a leading ENT surgeon with over 40 years of experience. He founded and led the ENT Department at Indus Hospital, Karachi, where he introduced Pakistan’s first Newborn Hearing Screening Program and established advanced Audiology and Speech Therapy services, transforming ear care for children with hearing impairment.

Syed Humayun Kalam
Syed Humayun Kalam is a board member and head of HR at Vision Healthcare Foundation, whose life is defined by service, compassion, and an ongoing dedication to inclusive healthcare. With a career spanning law, economics, public service, and management, he transforms expertise into action, ensuring support reaches those who need it most.
From his early days, he chose dignity through effort—supporting his education, helping financially struggling peers, and shaping a life grounded in empathy and accountability. For him, true service is measured not by wealth or titles but by presence, tangible action, and the positive difference made in people’s lives.
He has actively promoted inclusive eye health by interacting with patients one-on-one and attending to their financial, emotional, and medical needs. Many of the connections he made on sports fields and at casual get-togethers continue to support his charitable and organizational endeavors. Strong partnerships, as is frequently said, are formed in shared moments of trust rather than just in boardrooms. His charitable endeavors go beyond healthcare to include helping families in need, advancing education, and bolstering community health programs—all of which are motivated by integrity, faith, and the desire to make a long-lasting difference.

Served as General Manager and Chief Financial Officer at VHCF for over nine years. He oversees financial strategy, operational leadership, and ensures fiscal accountability across all programs. A certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Shabir brings deep financial expertise and stable stewardship to the organisation.
